The foreigners who meet the following conditions can apply Stay Permit:
1.The foreigner who immigrated by visa-free would keep stay exceeding the limitation period of visa exemption not owing to diplomatic or public affairs;
2.Foreign seafarer and accompanying family members who need to leave the city where the ship is mooring;
3.Person who has been authorized to renounce Chinese nationality but need to stay inside of China;
4.Foreigner who need to stay by humanism reason although the residence cause has been terminated;
5.Foreign baby born in China needs to stay in China;

Paperwork list of China Stay Permit service
SP1 Service: China Stay Permit :
1. Passport with valid visa
2. 2 Passport Photographs (2 inches size: 3.5cm*4.5cm)
3. Local Shanghai Registration Form Of Temporary Residence (up to date) [ Sample ]
4. The certificates conforming to the origin of application of visa renewal:
(1) Foreigner who immigrated by visa-free should hand over relevant documents with reference to the relevant regulations of visa renewal;
(2) Foreign seafarer should hand over the seafarer passport (or other international travel document), certificate letter for shipping agency and ticket of plane, boat or vehicle (date and route must be identified); accompanying family member(s) must provide certificate of kinship;
(3) Person whose renunciation of Chinese nationality has been authorized, must hand over the certificate of renunciation of Chinese nationality, foreign passport (or other international travel document) and related evidentiary materials of the reason for stay;(4) Foreigner whose residence reason had been terminated should hand over the proving materials of the termination of residence reason;
(5) The foreigner baby born in China should hand over the birth certificate, valid passports of parents (or other valid international travel documents);
(6) Providing other relevant documents certifying the reason for stay.
Normal Service takes: 8 Working Days
Service Cost: 1000RMB/person (service fee) + government fee (pay according to government receipt, around 160RMB)
